  1. Welcome to BBEdit 4.0.1!

  3. This installer supplies all of the components you need to update an existing installation of BBEdit 4.0 to version 4.0.1.

  5. The ‚ÄúEasy Install‚Äù selection will update your BBEdit 4.0 application to version 4.0.1, update the installed HTML authoring tools to version 2.1, and install version 3.0 of the "FTP" extension, necessary to support the new "Open from FTP Server" and "Save to FTP Server" commands.

  7. The ‚ÄúCustom Install‚Äù options may be used to install or update specific components of your BBEdit 4.0 package to current versions.

Please note that this update cannot be applied to a demo, freeware, or beta (pre-release) version of BBEdit, nor can it be used to update an older commercial version of BBEdit. If you are currently using BBEdit Lite, or BBEdit 2.5, 3.0, 3.1, or 3.5, please contact Bare Bones Software for upgrade options and pricing:
